Whilst offering similar functionality to the SIP-T46GN which was introduced to the UK market last April, the new SIP-T48GN features a generous 18cm (7”) 24-bit backlit colour touch screen designed to enable swift switching between applications and windows.
This complements its Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and support of features such as an XML browser, three-way conferencing and caller ID with name, number and photograph.
The fully HD model also supports Bluetooth earpieces and headsets via a USB dongle, can host up to six SIP accounts and, as with all handsets in the T4 series, is hearing aid compatible and certified for use with leading VoIP PBXs such as 3CX, Asterisk, Broadsoft Broadworks and many more. Incorporation of adaptive jitter buffer, echo cancellation and Yealink’s Optima HD acoustic performance technology minimise the risk of packet loss and delays to ensure impressive call clarity.
“The SIP-T48GN offers the proven-in-the-field benefits of its sister T46GN with the added ergonomic and aesthetic advantage of a particularly generous, high resolution colour touch screen,” comments Steve Watts, Yealink UK’s general manager. “This means it offers a superior experience with exceptional audio quality, together with a range of features designed to enhance productivity and ease of use.
“As ever the new model is pitched to offer premium quality and reliability whilst offering a significant price advantage over competitors’ offerings.”
