Softcat faced fierce competition from other Microsoft partners from across the globe; its nomination was one of over 3,000, collected from more than 100 countries. Microsoft selected the finalists and winners based on their exceptional customer service provision, the market impact of their solutions, and their effective use and application of Microsoft technologies.
Ian Goodwin, Softcat’s Microsoft business director, said, “We’re delighted to have made the finals for such a major award from one of our most significant partnerships. Of course we’d have liked to win outright, but to be recognised in the top four partners worldwide is a huge achievement – and we’ll celebrate it as such.” He added, “We’ve invested heavily in this partnership from the very beginning, and this achievement recognises this. We’ve developed strong relationships with key Microsoft associates to ensure optimal conditions for growth and improvement, and we’re continually increasing resources and manpower to drive sales and maintain our progress.”
Jon Roskill, the corporate vice president of Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft, said, “The 2013 Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists represent some of the best and brightest our ecosystem has to offer. We applaud each of our partners for demonstrating exceptional dedication in working to solve the most pressing technology challenges facing our mutual customers today. Congratulations to each award winner on this recognition.”
Award winners and finalists, chosen from global nominations, will be recognised at the 2013 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, the company’s premier annual event for industry partners, from the 7th – 11th July in Houston.
