This acquisition will provide Black Bear IT Solutions clients with access to additional services, as well giving Rydal a larger geographical footprint.
Black Bear IT Solutions Ltd will continue operating from its Lancaster offices, with no changes and all existing staff staying with the company. The existing management team and employees of Black Bear will integrate into Rydal Groups’ structure with a primary focus on helping them further expand their IT managed services and support to clients.
The business will now be led by Steffan Dancy, Rydal’s managing director, alongside the Rydal Group board and its wider team.
Rydal said this acquisition is another step forward in its strategy to grow its footprint within the managed IT services market across the UK. The North West and East is an area that Rydal wants to do more acquisitions in, following other recent acquisitions of BrokenStones IT and NDG technologies (base-only purchase).
Richard, the former managing director of Black Bear IT, explained, “I am pleased to announce that Black Bear IT Solutions has been acquired by the Rydal Group. A thriving and friendly communications and managed IT provider, with a host of expertise to further help our clients.
“This acquisition will present our staff and our customers with more resources to allow Black Bear IT Solutions, to support all customers better than ever before. I am following a passion of mine and moving into saving lives in the ambulance service and I would like to thank our customers for supporting Black Bear IT over the years!
“I was focused on the right home for our staff and clients and I feel Rydal is a fantastic fit to support you on your business growth journey.”
Steffan Dancy, managing director, Rydal Group, added, “We’re focused on continuing to expand across the UK, growing our IT support talent to enable us to support the increased demand from the marketplace and our group of clients.
“Bringing Black Bear IT Solutions into our group is gives us a further footprint both in location and resources.”
