Three of the recruits will take on their new role following internal promotions, after the former advisors took the opportunity to step up and lead their own teams. This forms part of Fusion’s initiative to drive career development. Employees are also offered a number of training programmes to help meet their career aspirations.
Daniel Ledbury, one of Fusion’s promoted team leaders, said: “I knew BGL Group was a great place for career development, but I had no idea how quickly I could progress – I had only been with Fusion for a year when I was promoted.”
He continued: “I was able to gain hands-on, practical experience and was really pleased with the support I’d been given, such as feedback meetings and coaching sessions. I had a fantastic relationship with my team, learning new skills and processes along the way, so I was delighted to have been offered the promotion at the end of it.”
Daren Homewood, Head of Site at Fusion, said: “Developing our people is a big part of what we’re about. It’s important for us to recognise the potential in our employees and act upon it.”
Daren added: “Internal recruitment is strong throughout BGL, but we do also see the value in employing externally too, and I’m positive that our four external recruits will also demonstrate strong leadership skills to deliver service excellence.”
