Net neutrality is the principle that internet users should be in control of what they see and do online, not their broadband or mobile provider.
Ofcom is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with net neutrality rules and providing guidance on how providers should follow them.
Last year, the regulator updated its guidance on the net neutrality rules and its approach to monitoring. That update was designed to enable providers to innovate and manage their networks more efficiently to improve consumer outcomes.
