OneCom has taken over Simplicity4, a successful “one stop shop” for business customers.
Simplicity4 will now be rebranded as OneCom Services and its Hampshire-based staff will now operate from OneCom’s headquarters at the Solent Business Park, Whiteley.
Staff at Simplicity4’s office in Leeds will remain there working for OneCom services and there are also plans to increase the company’s presence in the west by expanding its Bristol office.
OneCom is the largest independent provider of mobile voice and data, fixed line, IT and unified communications solutions in the UK and employs more than 300 staff.
The acquisition means 10 new jobs have been immediately created – and up to 20 more vacancies are expected to follow as OneCom Services expands in the coming months.
Those jobs are in addition to the 70 vacancies created last month when OneCom was formed by the merger of Premier Telecom and Business Phones Direct.
OneCom will use the expertise of Simplicity4’s staff to strengthen its offer of “total communications” – delivering mobile phones, landlines and IT support in one package with an emphasis on excellent customer service.
Darren Jacobs, managing director of Simplicity4, said: “I’m excited by this move which elevates us to a bigger stage and enables us to add even more value for OneCom customers.
“It means our teams are now working for a national player in technology services and are able to work as part of OneCom to give customers the best possible service.”
Darren Ridge, Chief Executive of OneCom, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Simplicity4’s staff to OneCom and I’m looking forward to working with Darren as we grow OneCom Services.
“This is all part of our commitment to providing exemplary service to our customers and offering staff who are experts in their field. And we are very pleased to be taking on more staff as OneCom’s success enables it to continue to grow.”
