The new service plaza has been opened following a £100,000 investment from Intercity Telecom in infrastructure, new equipment and staff training and has already created three new full-time jobs.
The Samsung Customer Service Plaza is located at Intercity Telecom’s city-centre headquarters at Holloway Head bringing full on-site service and repair facilities to the city. Building on Intercity’s expertise in managing the full repair process for mobile devices, the Plaza will support a wider range of devices from Samsung’s extensive portfolio and is open to both business customers and the general public.
Renowned for innovation and excellent customer support, Samsung’s broad range of high-tech products are enjoyed by millions of people everyday around the world. Therefore to ensure the Intercity Telecom team meet Samsung’s rigorous standards of quality and customer service, Intercity technicians have completed extensive training and assessment by Samsung.
Intercity Telecom has been providing service support for Samsung products for over 6 years and has been selected over all other service partners in the region to host the latest Customer Service Plaza. The new repair facility means that Intercity’s trained staff and technicians can offer great customer advice, software upgrades as well as traditional repair services for a number of different Samsung devices down to circuit board level, providing a comprehensive service to its business and consumer customers.
Margaret Yates, Service Manager at Intercity commented: “Both Samsung and ourselves are committed to the very highest levels of customer support. It is this shared ethos which has been instrumental in the new Service Plaza being situated at Intercity Telecom.”
Paolo Lupi, Senior Manager, Telecommunications & Networks Samsung UK & Ireland said: “Intercity Telecom has a proven track record of offering their customers the very highest levels of customer service and technical ability for mobile devices. We have worked in collaboration with their dedicated team for many years so they were an obvious choice when deciding who we should partner with in the central Birmingham area.”
Intercity’s Samsung Service Plaza offers a carry-in facility for customers to bring their Samsung devices for immediate attention as well as a postal service which aims to return repaired devices within one and a half days.
Intercity Telecom was founded in 1985 in Birmingham when it became one of the first telecom service providers in the UK.
