Legrand has announced the UK launch of a portfolio of single phase UPS systems. The range includes five UPS solutions: Keor DC, Keor PDU, Keor SP, Keor SPE and Keor SPE RT.
The Keor DC solution is a UPS designed to back up all internet connected devices such as modems, routers, cordless or VoIP phones. The Keor PDU is a PDU style UPS designed for installation in 19-inch racks with 8 IEC sockets
Keor SP, Keor SPE and Keor SPE RT are all single phase line interactive UPS systems of varying power availability and size. The Keor SPE RT is a rackmount unit while the other two are tower units.
The products are new to the UK market after initially being launched in mainland Europe. Legrand has established an extensive distribution network in other markets and is looking to do the same in the UK.
Joshua Naylor, channel manager, Legrand UK, said, “The strategic updates to the Legrand UPS portfolio have come at the perfect time for the UK IT channel. It is a competitive environment, which lacks knowledge and support. Legrand differentiates itself through its commitment to not just manufacturing quality backup power solutions but also providing direct technical backup and education pathways.
“This is a very exciting time for the UK channel and, whilst UPS systems are not new to the market, understanding the true value of the technologies is. We believe that Legrand has a very unique proposition for the channel and are very much looking forward to expanding our existing distribution network.”
The new range of single phase UPS systems have been designed to address specific market requirements. Use cases include power protection for networking equipment, and delivering optimised power security for racks.
