Smart Connections purposely wanted to attract Owners, General Managers and IT Directors from the top 4 and 5-star (London) hotels, however the event also attracted others involved within the hospitality industry such as architects and independent consultants who were interested to hear and learn about the latest trends.
John Owen, company MD and co-owner of SBL opened the seminar introducing the partners, guest speakers and what the day aimed to achieve for those in attendance. John commented that “the aim of Smart Connections was to inform and educate about technology trends and solutions that can aid hotels in increasing revenues and enhancing guest services. Our focus was the upper echelons of the market as it is at these properties where service delivery is most critical. Our team of presenters and partners demonstrated how to deploy solutions properly whilst focusing on those aspects that would provide maximum benefit”.
Owing to the success of Smart Connections, next year’s event is already being scheduled for spring 2014 aiming to once again educate and advise the hospitality industry on ways to maximise hotel revenues and the guest experience. Reflecting on this year’s event, John Owen highlights that “the overall feeling of quality was reflected well by presenters, partners and attendees”.
