Company achieves specialisation in recognition of delivering solutions that support sustainability.

Gamma has achieved the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation.

This certification is awarded to partners who are recognised for delivering Cisco solutions that support sustainability and address environmental challenges.

Chris Smith, ESG programme manager at Gamma, said, “The circular economy is increasingly important in the ICT sector, with prioritisation of re-use, refurbishment, and recycling of equipment helping to reduce electronic waste and its impact on the environment. Internally, we already have a responsible recycling programme set up using these principles and where we are unable to reuse kit, it is disposed of in compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive.

“Our focus is now to extend our programme and we are delighted to be partnering with Cisco and leveraging their free device take back offering so the equipment that we can’t reuse for ourselves can feed their remanufactured equipment market. This is a vital contribution to the principles of a circular economy and a step that we are proud to be taking.”

Katherine Hannah, Cisco global sustainability lead, said, “Kudos to Gamma for earning the Cisco Environmental Sustainability Specialisation. This certification places Gamma among a select group of partners recognised for delivering Cisco solutions that support sustainability and address environmental challenges. Since 2022, our Environmental Sustainability Specialisation has been rewarding partners who support Cisco’s strategic sustainability priorities by responsibly repurposing or recycling their end-of-use products.

“Cisco aims to create an inclusive future by bringing communities together and making a positive impact on the planet. Through technology and innovation, we hope to inspire our employees, partners, and customers to adopt more sustainable IT solutions and drive global positive change and a sustainable digital future.”
