Checkley previously served as Flomatik's chief delivery officer and brings 35 years of telecoms experience to the helm of the Hampshire-based firm. He has formerly worked as director of service and operations with Virgin Media Business WiFi and as interim managing director for Rural Optic, part of Airband Community Internet.
Flomatik said its senior leadership team, the Executive Steering Group (ESG) is working with colleagues and customers to ensure successful investment in the business’ people, systems, culture and clients.
This includes recruiting a new chief delivery officer and sales and marketing director, alongside further investments to enhance its tailored network services for telecoms clients which include Virgin Media, CityFibre Holdings and toob.
“It’s important we’re seen as an organisation that’s transparent and delivers on our promises,” said Checkley in a statement. “The ESG will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we continue to work hard behind the scenes to develop our people, systems and culture.”
Checkley added that while the pandemic has been a difficult time for every industry, it has paved the way for some exciting developments to come to the fore.
“Our sector continues to play a pivotal role in the ongoing recovery and doing everything we can to keep the nation connected will be key to moving beyond the crisis,” he said.
