Gavin Elly from Nimans’ Solutions Support team has completed a marathon 16.5 hour golf challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support – helping raise more than £10,000 in the process.
Held on one of the longest days of the year, Gavin joined 11 members of his local golf club to finish 72 holes over three different North West courses.
“Me and 11 other members of Alderley Edge Golf Club took on a 72 golf hole challenge in one day. We teed off at Alderley Edge around 4.30am, moving on to Mottram Hall for 8.50am, over to Styal Golf Club for 13.20 and returning to Alderley at 17.50 to complete the challenge at 9pm.
“It was a great day and hard work in scorching temperatures but we easily surpassed our fundraising expectations,” said Gavin who is part of Nimans’ NEC solutions team and was supported by various work colleagues.
