Digital Space, based in Newark-on-Trent, said that the partnerships mark an important step in its CSR plans, which aims to enhance and deliver improved sustainability services for customers.
Organisations will be able to work with Digital Space to dispose of and sell their old legacy IT equipment in a ‘socially responsible and ethical manner’ through the partnerships.
Re-Tek offers re-use as a secure, sustainable method of IT disposal and asset retirement by collecting, ethically wiping and recycling legacy equipment. Circular Computing re-manufactures carbon neutral laptop products, producing at-scale pre-used products that are ‘equal or better than new’.
“Sustainability and CSR policies have, for many organisations, become an integral part of IT and purchasing decisions,” said Sarah Lambert-Gibbs, head of supply chain tower at Digital Space.
“Many IT departments now have specific CSR targets to meet, and as an IT provider, it is important that we are not only investing in our own CSR credentials, but always looking at ways in which we can support our customers too.”
Circular Computing and Re-Tek will form part of Digital Space’s new supply chain service, Tech Space, which was launched last month. The service aims to enable customers to dispose, purchase and get hold of IT and hardware quickly and efficiently.
