DeMa-X manages and syncs mobile data between Android, iOS, Windows, BlackBerry and Symbian devices through a single content management platform. It ensures contacts, SMS, notes, photos, calendars, videos, documents and more are always up-to-date and securely stored either in a MVNO’s own, or Lollaksi’s hosted, cloud. It is based on Lollaksi’s heritage and expertise in the data synchronisation and storage sector, with 35 million messages stored securely by another Lollaksi product.
“DeMa-X allows MVNOs to go beyond the usual data and voice services with a complementary offering that generates increased customer stickiness and extra revenue,” Laxman Karnam, CEO at Lollaksi, explained. “Customers are used to spending on data and document syncing services, but MVNOs do not get any of this.”
“With DeMa-X, MVNOs can get a slice of this market and also create an additional reason for the customer to remain loyal by offering a ‘data insurance’ product. Apple iCloud users now top 300 million users and buying additional storage costs from £14 to £70 per year. This gives an idea of the kind of revenues that MVNOs should – and could – be taking for themselves.”
“These initial products allowed us to develop our expertise in the synchronisation of different types of data and, realising that there was a gap for cross-platform mobile data synchronisation for top-end smartphone users, we created DeMa-X,” Karnam added.
DeMa-X is available as a white label service to MVNOs, allowing them to package and sell the product to their customers. The system can be hosted by Lollaksi to help keep costs low, and the pricing model provides a speedy ROI on a pay-as-you-grow basis. It requires a relatively low capital investment and usually offers profit within 12 months, even when based on conservative numbers. Lollaksi has a clear road map for the development of DeMa-X solution and is keen to work with MVNOs to help them implement intelligent models that will assist them in managing their network resources.
“Whilst DeMa-X is available for outright purchase, we also offer hosted support which allows MVNOs (and SMEs) to grow their solution as their business grows.” Karnam said. “We want to grow our customers’ business with them, so we offer a solution that is scalable. The return on investment can be fed into upgrading to the next stage of deployment.”
