Colt Cloud Session Border Controller (SBC) helps accelerate and simplify the deployment of PSTN calling in Teams without the need to host any hardware on-premises or in a data centre. The fully cloud-based solution enables agility for both large and small enterprises, with provisioning and on-boarding taking less than a week. It also offers per usage pricing, providing small and medium enterprises with flexibility during digital transformation projects.
Keri Gilder (pictured above), CEO of Colt, said, “This past year has truly highlighted the value of delivering voice and network services quickly and seamlessly. As the world changed dramatically, we saw first-hand the increasing need for voice services, which were critical for enterprises who needed to shift their operations to remote working almost overnight. Our customers benefited in these times by working with one supplier who could deliver a complete Intelligent Communications solution, enabling the collaboration tools needed for today’s digital workplace.
“Colt’s investment in its Intelligent Communications offering will continue to pay dividends, as more and more enterprises transition to Microsoft Teams as their primary collaboration and communication cloud-based platform.”
This new offering, built in conjunction with AudioCodes, combines Microsoft Teams with Colt’s voice and data networks to deliver end-to-end performance, security, and reliability. As with other Colt voice and network solutions, Cloud SBC is underpinned by the Colt IQ Network, which is comprised of more than 29,000 on net buildings and 900 data centres globally.
Giovanni Mezgec, general manager, Microsoft 365 Marketing at Microsoft, added, “We are pleased to be collaborating with Colt as it further enhances its telephony offering for Microsoft Teams, accelerating customer adoption of Direct Routing for Teams.”
Colt Cloud SBC is available across 13 countries, including the United Kingdom, from today. Additional countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
