Vodafone is pulling picture and video messaging from its "extras" packs from 1st September, meaning customers will be paying full price for their MMS messages.
Vodafone Extra Packs allow customers to pay a chunk of money up front (amounts between £3 and £40) then use that money for discounted messages, internet access, and video and picture messaging.
An MMS picture message would normally cost 36 pence to send, but is reduced to 18 pence if paid for with an Extra Pack. Similarly, the cost of text messages is halved from 12p to around 6p.
Vodafone said the change is part of a larger price restructuring plan.
