Following the recent appointment of Andy Tow as their new Chief Executive, Unique Distribution has announced a series of other high profile appointments to their senior staff. The arrival of the four senior staff and an internal promotion has been made in preparation for the distributor’s long awaited expansion into new facilities in Hayes Middlesex.
Current Head of Managed Services David Hinc has been promoted to Commercial Director and will use his wealth of experience to drive forward Unique’s Managed Services, Retail, Telecom and Airtime divisions. David has extensive experience in the mobile telecoms arena, including several years with Unique Distribution, 20:20 and Project Telecom as well as previously managing his own Company.
Nick Thomas, formerly Head of Operations at Unique has rejoined as Operations Director. Thomas’s new role sees him take the challenging responsibility of managing the Company’s Logistics, Distribution and new Warehousing facility in Hayes. Commenting on his appointment, Nick said “Returning to Unique will be a huge challenge, but with renewed vision, clear direction and a hunger to succeed driven by our new Chief Executive Andy Tow, the sky really is the limit. This is a great opportunity for everyone involved. We know its going to be hard work, but with the "Unique" spirit driving us forward we can deliver the best possible service, solutions and quality products in the industry.”
Unique have also boosted their non-traditional sales channels team with the appointment of Andrew Evison as account manager, before joining Unique, Evison nurtured his talents with Canon and ISA Trading (the largest Distributor of computer supplies in Europe). Evison, in his new role will take primary responsibility for Tesco Mobile.
The Unique Airtime division has also been bolstered by two key appointments: Former UniqueAir Head of Sales, Ron Wood rejoins as National Sales Manager Ron brings his sales talents back to Unique after several years running sales operations at UniqueAir, Vodafone and Vanguard. David Birkett joins Unique Airtime as Operations Manager. The role sees Birkett take responsibility for all day to day management aspects of the Airtime division and brings with him many years experience of various Sales, Marketing & Operations roles predominantly with Hills Holdings.
