range is the SPV M3100, its version of the HTC TyTn that T-Mobile is also taking as the MDA Vario II.
The M3100 will be available via Orange Business Services and supports Orange’s push email solution, Orange Mail, as well as the Direct Push functionality provided by Microsoft.
This is the first SPV with quad-band GSM. It also offers connectivity via 3G, WiFi, EDGE and HSDPA, “where and when available”. Orange says it is currently conducting trials of its UK HSDPA network and, assuming a successful completion, will look to roll it out in 2007.
