Orange’s head of distribution, Steve Heald, used the latest event hosted by Mainline Digital Communications to talk about the future drive for business connections through the independent channel and to emphasise Mainline’s key role in the network’s plans.
Mainline teamed up with Orange and creators of the BlackBerry revolution, Research in Motion (RIM), to offer its specially selected Club dealers an exclusive mix of business and pleasure in Amsterdam.
“Mainline is the biggest b2b distributor that Orange has. These quarterly dealer meetings are the ideal opportunity for us to preview our forthcoming offers and deals, and for Orange to receive first-hand feedback from quality independents,” said Steve.
“This event has been particularly successful. We look forward to supporting Mainline in helping to grow its Club programme even further in the future."
Over twenty independent dealers attended the event, which reviewed some of the highlights that Club dealers have experienced over the past few months. These included a Hong Kong trip, the early advent of ongoing revenue and the ongoing success of the dedicated commercial support service set up for them by the distributor.
The Amsterdam event reinforced to dealers the high levels of continued support they receive from BlackBerry, with the presentation of a free 8820 device for each dealer and the announcement an exclusive August incentive.
After the day’s activity, the dealers were treated to a meal at a local restaurant before spending the rest of the evening at their leisure to explore the buzzing sights and sounds of the capital.
Dealers were quick to deliver positive feedback on the event. “Mainline has delivered yet another informative, entertaining and enjoyable event,” said Jim Clapham, director of Mobile Telecoms. “The business meeting was particularly useful. It’s highly reassuring to see key industry players supporting our distributor and to see our distributor passing on the resulting benefits to us.”
