An NOP survey of more than 800 users shows that only 45% of respondents in the higher-spending 15-34 age bracket felt they were getting the ‘personal treatment’ from mobile operators in targeting them with relevant services matching their individual needs. And 60% of this group cited the range of service plans and options as a reason to switch providers. The survey also indicated that online vendors such as Dell and Amazon are now way ahead in terms of offering products and solutions designed to meet their customers’ individual preferences. The survey was commissioned by a US company called Ceon, “a leading provider of product lifecycle management and service fulfilment software for dynamic and complex bundled services”.
