Fantasy Football - New Striker Anyone

With no action this week due to international matches, we have an opportunity to look at replacements for French pansy Henry who'll be out of the beautiful game for the rest of the season following tummy pain, awwww.

At £14.1m, Henry is the most expensive player in Fantasy Premier League, but selling him means you can afford just about anyone you want as a replacement.

The Obvious Choice: Didier Drogba - Chelsea
Drogba is the Premier League's leading goalscorer with 18 League goals and has scored 29 goals in all competitions this season, including 5 Champions League goals. He also has 3 assists and 16 bonus points, making him the highest point earner as far as strikers go. Drogba will be most people's choice to replace Henry, which means his cost may go up, but at 12.1 and rising, Drogba is affordable if you are selling Henry, and with the leftover money you can still afford to upgrade a player elsewhere in your squad. Chelsea are at home to Sheffield United in Gameweek 30.

The form player: Dimitar Berbatov - Tottenham
Berbatov has an average of 8.5 points over the last 30 days in the Premier League, thanks to 2 goals, 1 assist and 8 bonus points, taking his league tally to 8 goals. He has also been on top form in the UEFA Cup and is the leading scorer with 7 goals, including 2 in Spurs' midweek victory over SC Braga. Berbatov costs just 8.5 and with the change you would get from selling Henry, you could buy a whole new player! He is however carrying a small injury so keep an eye on premierleague.com for any injury updates. Tottenham are at home to Watford in Gameweek 30.

Mr consistent: Benni McCarthy - Blackburn
McCarthy has scored 12 League goals in his first season for Blackburn, making him joint third overall in goals scored behind Drogba and Ronaldo. McCarthy, who costs just 7.1, scored twice from the penalty spot against Bolton in Gameweek 29 and a home game against bottom side West Ham, whose last clean sheet was December 23rd, could be a golden opportunity to add to his tally. Blackburn were eliminated from the UEFA Cup midweek so will be looking for a strong finish to their Premier League season. They currently sit in 10th place, just 3 points away from 6th place, where they finished last season.

The returning hero?: Darren Bent - Charlton
Charlton may be sitting in the relegation zone right now, but they heading in the right direction, thanks to a win and a draw in the last 2 games. However they do need goals and Darren Bent could be the one to score them. Having missed 6 games through injury, Bent's goal tally of 9 is still quite impressive and a home game against Newcastle, who may be game weary after their UEFA Cup game midweek, could be his chance to add to his total and save his team from the drop. Bent costs just 4.5, saving you 9.6, which could give you the chance to add a Ronaldo or a Lampard to your team at the next transfer deadline.

The gamble: Caleb Folan - Wigan
Folan arrived at Wigan from League One side Chesterfield in January and has played in 5 out of 6 games since his arrival. He has scored 2 goals and created 1 assist and got his first bonus point in Gameweek 27 against Watford so the signs are that he will be a fixture in Paul Jewell's side until the end of the season. Wigan have pulled away from the bottom of the table with 3 wins, 1 draw and just 1 defeat in the last 5 games, but they will want to get as close as they can to last season's 10th place finish. A home game against Fulham, who are 1 point ahead of them in the table may be just what they need.
