Chris Hough, who recently left Orange, is to join the network’s leading distributor for the independent channel – Mainline Digital Communications. Orange’s former head of independent retail has accepted
an interim directorship withMainline and will work closely with managing director Andrew Boden on the strategic direction of the business and on its development.
“Working at Orange has provided Chris with a clear insight of the industry and a unique perspective on the independent channel in particular,” says Andrew Boden. “We can only grow our business by continuing to satisfy the needs and by fulfilling the expectations of the independent dealer community. We want to harness the knowledge that Chris brings so we are in the best possible position to do exactly that.”
Boden believes that the future for independents is as challenging as ever and that the chances of survival and prosperity are linked to the ability to provide the networks with high quality business.
“Chris knows what the networks are looking for from the independent channel and how distributors can help them to achieve the desired results,” says Boden. “Our aim is to ensure that dealers working with Mainline are in a prime position to satisfy the requirements of Orange, strengthen their commercial relationship and thereby protect and enhance their own business at the same time.”
