‘best global brands survey’

Interbrand has just published its ‘best global brands survey’ for 2006, and while no network is featured – none are seen by Interbrand as ‘global’ – three handset manufacturers did make it,...
along with Sony and two names that include (smallish) MVNO operations:
• Nokia (6)
• Disney (8)
• Samsung (20)
• Sony (26)
• MTV (50)
• Motorola (69)
Motorola’s position is interesting; it may be no.2 in the handset business, but it’s coming in a long way behind Sony (which obviously has brand synergies from its other products) and Samsung (which might also benefit from its other consumer products).
