The event – named Wunderground – was held to celebrate the success achieved with partners during 2022, and opportunities in store for 2023. It also provided an informal atmosphere to meet with key personnel from DWS, as well as companies from the wider group such as Giacom and Union Street.
Wunderground attracted hundreds of partners from across the channel, with the event sponsored and supported by suppliers including CityFibre, TalkTalk Wholesale Services, Microsoft, Acronis, BT Wholesale, Sophos, Neos, Pangea and Draytek.
Speaking at the event, Terry O’Brien, CEO of DWS, said, “On behalf of myself and the DWS team, I’d like to say a big thank you to all our partners and sponsors for joining us and making this such an unforgettable event.
“At DWS we value each and every partner we have and recognise that their success is our success. Wunderground provided the perfect way to beat the January blues and show partners our appreciation in true DWS style.
“It also proved to be a great setting to discuss our plans for 2023, specifically how we intend to help partners make the most of the opportunities on offer in the year ahead.”
Bernie McPhillips, sales director at Pangea, a sponsor of the event added, “What an amazing event. Thank you to the DWS team, you’ve certainly set the bar high for others to follow in 2023!”
Guests enjoyed the opportunity to meet and network with industry colleagues, as well as key suppliers and vendors, in a relaxed, fun and friendly environment. They also had the chance to enjoy performances from Capital FM DJ Shayna Marie, radio DJ Scott Mills, magician Guy Parker, and street-theatre musicians Spark.
