Through its Marketing Services offering, which looks to enhance partner skills across a wide marketing mix, the Westcon-Comstor team is delivering marketing workshops to educate its partner marketing community. This latest event focused on content marketing and was attended by partners across the distributors’ practices with the goal of enabling them to create customer-focused, targeted and compelling content. Led by Nick Baggott, an experienced Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) course director with a wealth of industry knowledge, the course focused on practical skills that partners could easily put into practice.
John Richardson, marketing director of the UKI Westcon UCC Practice commented, “In a short space of time, we’ve seen a huge appetite from our partners for this type of support. We are mindful of the resource pressures our partners face with marketing and I think the workshops help them to build on their marketing plans and put their ideas into practice. The events, which range from beginner to advanced skill levels, are vendor agnostic and open to all partners large and small.”
“Our Marketing Services Programme not only gives partners the opportunity to extend their reach through Westcon-Comstor’s industry-leading support services, it also helps them to develop their own marketing skills. This vocational focus, which is very practical in nature, is a well-received addition to our partner-enablement offering – and one which we plan to extend”, says Runa Macleod, Westcon-Comstor EMEA marketing director.
“Westcon-Comstor’s workshops give me the opportunity to spend time with other like-minded people who face the same work-related challenges. These workshops not only provide relevant, expert knowledge and opinions but also a friendly and relaxed forum to discuss – and often resolve – common issues,” summarised Gill Dover, EMEA Marketing at Yorktel.
