Westcon-Comstor has appointed Rene Klein as executive vice president for Europe.
Klein was previously head of Westcon Europe, a role in which he oversaw the launch of Westcon’s specialist Next-Generation Solutions go-to-market proposition for cybersecurity-focused partners and high-growth and emerging security vendors.
He will assume European leadership of the distributor’s Cisco-focused Comstor arm, while maintaining leadership of Westcon Europe.
In taking on leadership of Westcon-Comstor’s entire European business, incorporating both Westcon and Comstor sales and go-to-market functions, Klein will use each arm’s specialised focus to drive growth for partners and vendors. He will also oversee the distributor’s revenue operations, services and global customer functions within Europe.
