The award was presented by Secretary of State for Business Vince Cable and Rt Hon MP Zac Goldsmith to Tony Cook, Managing Director of Union Street. Union Street’s entry in the ‘Best Innovation’ category demonstrated a number of innovative features in its aBILLity Billing System including its LineGuard fraud detection software, which benefits communication providers and the wider community by detecting unusual calling patterns or charge rates in a customer billing account which in turn helps to stop telecoms fraud early.
