Following on the success of the Avaya-focused Aura Alliance, the UCA adopts a similar business model to help global businesses take complexity out of unified comms implementation by ensuring consistency of skills, pricing, SLAs and administration across international boundaries. The UCA achieves this with a world-wide team, working out of more than 100 countries, planned to reach some 2000 Microsoft accredited technicians within the next six months.
"The business benefits of unified communications are huge and Lync is exceptional in delivering these benefits to users in a simple and familiar way." says Tony Parish, UCA CEO. "But, like all good things, making it happen isn't always easy. Multi-vendor, multi-device environments can present challenges and, when that environment is international, complexity creeps in."
"By its nature, unified communications interacts with numerous other systems associated with the desktop, network infrastructure and mobile devices. Getting that integration right is critical. UCA members bring together in-depth knowledge of these supporting technologies and the highest accreditations in planning and deployment of Lync. This is what makes the UCA such a powerful resource for businesses building their unified comms overseas."
"NACR is a Lync specialist of the highest caliber and sets the standard for the quality of member we will be recruiting in the future, " said Parish. "Lync is a system that is going to dominate the communications of many businesses throughout the world and we will ensure we have the members with the resources to match that challenge in the long term."
