Tom has been an influential member of the UK IT and communications channel for more than 30 years and has held senior management positions in a variety of organisations. Most notably he spent 10 years as Managing Director for Logicalis, between 2003 and 2013. During his time at Logicalis, he oversaw the business’ transformation into one of the UKs largest Cisco and IBM Managed Services partners.
Mark Collins, CEO of ONI, welcomes Tom’s appointment “Tom is a widely recognised leader within the channel and adds invaluable strength and experience to our board. We are very excited about him joining our leadership team, especially as we can already see how Tom can help accelerate our ambitious plans to grow and gain market share.”
As the technology market evolves and people transition to the Cloud, IT is increasingly seen as a vital, strategic component of any organisation. IT is the ultimate business enabler; helping streamline processes, optimise productivity, enhance customer experiences and drive down operational costs.
In order to achieve these outcomes, some organisations will move more functionality to the Cloud than others; some will be early adopters and others will move at their own pace. Whatever their journey to the Cloud looks like, they will want to work with a technology partner who understands both Cloud and on-premise solutions and can deliver the right Hybrid environment.
“This is ONI’s area of expertise” explains Mark Collins. “We work closely with our customers to ensure they are able to capitalise on their existing investment in on-premise solutions and leverage the myriad advantages of Cloud technologies when it makes most sense”.
“I was very impressed with ONI’s pedigree in Unified Communications” says Tom Kelly. “They have established their credentials as a provider of physical and virtual Cloud infrastructure; which has enabled them to make a significant investment in their Luton-based data centre facilities.”
Tom continues “These new facilities have laid the foundation to grow sales in managed services and solutions to both existing and new customers. However, the investment has not just been in the platform, it’s also been in the people.” Tom concludes “ONI is better placed than ever to offer genuine value and quality services to its clients; cementing its position as one of the UKs leading service providers”.
