According to SpliceCom their new PCS 552G IP Phone significantly lowers the cost of entry for Gigabit networking. Based on the British manufacturer’s existing PCS 552 handset the “G” variant adds a two port1,000 Mbps switch to the existing 100/10 Mbps connections.
“As Gigabit Power over Ethernet switches become commodity products, we’re getting ever increasing requests to supply large numbers of Gigabit phones from those who want to buy our systems, particularly in the Education market ” says Robin Hayman, SpliceCom’s Director of Product Management & Marketing. “The PCS 552G now sits alongside our existing PCS 582G and PCS 572G Gigabit IP Phones, offering a far lower cost of entry to those looking for a stylish phone to handle every day business telephony tasks, yet one that still gives access to the advanced features of our soft, hard and virtual PBXs.”
