The latest deal comes just days after Soda IT was itself acquired by Leeds telco Northern Telecom.
WalkinWifi Limited entered into administration on 30 July with the appointment of joint administrators from specialist business advisory firm FRP Advisory. Following a marketing process, the sale to Soda took place on 11 August.
Soda’s managing director, Jon Graves, described WalkinWifi as a fantastic solution for hospitality customers and marketing platform for hospitality providers, with a heritage of delivering WiFi hotspot solutions to some of the biggest names in hospitality.
“Like many businesses that support the hospitality industry WalkinWifi has struggled through the pandemic and it’s unfortunate that the reopening of the hospitality sector came too late to save WalkinWifi Limited from administration,” Graves commented.
He added that he firmly believes there is a great product at the core of the business and is pleased to be able to deliver continuity of supply to WalkinWifi’s customer base.
