Snom has announced that Gernot Sagl, CEO for EMEA and APAC and managing director, has stepped down.
Under Gernot’s guidance over the last nine years, Snom has undergone a complex transformation following its acquisition by VTech Group in 2016.
Fabio Albanini (pictured) has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and operations for EMEA and APAC with immediate effect. Previously serving as vice president of sales for EMEA and APAC, he has been an integral part of Snom since 2009.
In his new role, Albanini will take on further responsibilities, overseeing Snom’s sales, marketing and operations in EMEA and APAC. He will report directly to Hillson Cheung, president of telecommunication products at VTech.
"Fabio has demonstrated exceptional leadership and possesses a deep understanding of our business and industry," said Cheung." We are confident that he will continue to drive the growth of the Snom brand and further strengthen our market position in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and APAC."
Albanini said, "Leading Snom during this dynamic phase is a great honour and we have established a strong foundation for growth. I look forward to collaborating with our talented colleagues worldwide to deliver top-tier solutions and sustainable value to our customers and partners."
