The Centile Istra platform provides operators and service providers with the tools they need to quickly develop, deploy, and monetise innovative, compelling new services over existing networks, to the broadest range of user devices. The integration work undertaken between snom handsets and the Centile Istra platform enriches service provider’s offerings when compared to deployment using standard SIP handsets.
The Centile and snom integration offers innovative features including n-party conferencing, boss/secretary, call park/pickup, presence, chat, and voice call continuity. Of particular interest to business users is the ability to move seamlessly - for example from their snom IP terminal to their mobile, without disrupting the caller. In addition, snom handsets enable the user to manage the parking zone by BLF buttons, the display of the caller picture, the visual configuration of BLF and buttons via the Web provisioning console.
Bertrand Pourcelot, DG at Centile explained “The integration of snom handsets (7xx Series, 8xx Series and the extension module snom Vision) with Centile’s Istra platform enables service providers to deliver the highest level of Unified Communications and FMC services from the network to IP and mobile devices. Moreover, the integration includes the “Plug&Play” Redirect Server technology and Firmware & Configuration files auto-provisioning. Each of which provides the service provider with competitive advantage through speed to market for new customers” added Bertrand Pourcelot.
“snom have a very close relationship with Centile, working with our sales partners to enhance the service offering to customers and ensure that we can provide the highest quality and most feature rich service possible is fully in line with the snom policy of delivering solutions that will provide businesses with security quality and value added services,” added John Bennett Managing Director of snom UK.
