Hosted by Six Degrees’ Chairman, Alastair Mills, a group of 25 guests from the technology and finance sector headed to the slopes of Val Thorens, the highest resort in Europe, for the three day trip. The annual event is organised as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Six Degrees of Hope, in order to raise awareness and funds for WeSeeHope.
Mark Glen, CEO of WeSeeHope, commented: “For six years the Six Degrees of Hope initiative has shown unprecedented commitment to our cause. We are truly grateful for the remarkable contributions made through this year’s ski trip, which will make a wonderful and significant difference to the lives of the young people we are supporting.”
Mills concluded: “This is the third year we have run a charity ski trip and I am still blown away by the incredible generosity of those who join the trip. There is no doubt that Mark and the rest of the WeSeeHope team will invest this money wisely and it is a privilege to continue to work with them to help change the trajectory of the lives of so many children and young people in sub-Saharan Africa.”
Six Degrees has supported WeSeeHope since the company’s foundation in 2011 and has so far raised over £445,000 through Six Degrees of Hope. Together they have recently been shortlisted at this year’s Better Society Awards in the “Partnership with an International Charity” and the “Partnership with a Children’s Charity” categories.
