The Victoria Pendleton Road to Victory app will be available to Three customers through Samsung devices and will feature exclusive content, images, news and mobile wallpapers from Team Samsung ambassador, Victoria Pendleton. Giving a unique insight into the life of an athlete at the top of their profession, the app charts the highs and the lows of Victoria’s preparation ahead of this summer’s London 2012 Olympic Games.
Three customers who download this exclusive app will be able to enter a competition to win a track day with Victoria witnessing firsthand the training and preparation undertaken by professional athletes. Ten lucky winners (plus their guests) will spend the day with Victoria getting tips to improve their own cycling and will also be able to ask her questions about her Olympic experiences to-date.
Available to Three customers from 23rd July with the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy phone, the app, developed by Candyspace, will also feature Victoria’s eight-week training regime as her preparations for the London Games gather pace.
Simon Stanford, Vice President, UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division said: “Excitement around the Olympic Games is building every day and we at Samsung are delighted to be able to offer Three customers the chance to enjoy exclusive behind-the-scenes content from Olympic hopeful Victoria Pendleton. As the Wireless Partner for the London 2012 Olympic Games – we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to take part in this historic sporting event, and the Road to Victory app is the another way for everyone to be involved. We’d also like to wish Victoria Pendleton the best of luck in this month’s Olympic Games – everyone at Samsung will be cheering her on.”
The app is available on Samsung Galaxy devices on Three’s network and is downloadable from Samsung Apps from 23rd July.
