ICT (Information and Communications Technology) provider PSU Technology Group (PSU), is working with customers including legal firm, Kerman & Co, on phone solutions that will keep staff working and business running smoothly during the forthcoming Olympic Games.
Following consultation with PSU, Kerman & Co took the decision to purchase Mitel 5320 IP phones from them. Having been impressed with the functionality that they offered, Kerman & Co is already testing and deploying the handsets in the lead up to the Games, so that its staff will be ready and able to work from home during the Olympic period.
With features that include extensive programmable options, an in-built self-labelling display and HTML player for desktop applications, the Mitel 5320 IP phones are easily configurable. By simply plugging in their handset to a broadband connection from home, users can be instantly connected to their company’s corporate network. After logging in with their secure pin number, a user’s personal profile is immediately downloaded to the handset, to allow smooth and efficient call routing.
Commenting about the decision to work with PSU, Simon Jones, IT Manager, Kerman & Co said: “We’ve been gradually giving our staff greater work flexibility, but the forthcoming Olympic Games’ has served to hasten this process. Having already developed a Citrix-based cloud computing solution, getting the right telephone system was our next priority. Thanks to the hot desking functionality of Mitel’s IP phones, I’m confident our staff will be able to work effectively from home throughout the Olympic period and benefit from the extra flexibility that this will offer them going forward.”
