Pragma Launches SIP Trunk Network Proposition

Distributors
Pragma have announced the launch of Pragma Networks, a 100% reseller focused SIP trunk, inbound and network services business. Pragma Networks is a joint venture between Pragma and Blizzard Telecom and is the latest in a series of high impact initiatives to support Pragma.

Pragma Networks offers a fully supported SIP trunk proposition that enables resellers to take advantage of the growing adoption of this technology. At the heart of the SIP opportunity is a real dilemma as support of this new technology can create major issues for resellers as network services, telephony hardware and network connectivity are typically delivered and supported independently. As a result of this fragmented support, many resellers have been slow to adopt SIP. Pragma Networks has the solution by delivering iNET SIP Trunks through the BT IP Exchange with a support offering that enables resellers to deliver SIP solutions with 100% confidence.

Will Morey, Commercial Director at Pragma commented “With the potential for rapid SIP Trunks adoption and huge benefits for end user customers, many resellers want to offer this technology but require an end to end support offering covering the SIP platform, network delivery and on site equipment. Pragma Networks can offer this by leveraging the strengths of the Pragma Ericsson-LG product knowledge and the Blizzard Telecom expertise on networks and billing. We believe we are first to market with this offering and see it as a unique proposition to resellers.”

The combination of the Ericsson-LG iPECS platform with SIP trunks provides a flexible, stable, resilient and cost effective alternative to either fully hosted solutions or pure on-premise. Using the combination of Ericsson-LG iPECS and iNet SIP Trunks resellers can offer a hybrid solution with all of the benefits of an on premise iPECS platform combined with the flexibility of cloud-based services that delivers benefits like disaster recovery and rapid line capacity provisioning.

Tim Brooks, Managing Director, Pragma commented “SIP trunks become an increasingly attractive option as extensive delays on ISDN install impact customer satisfaction and resellers cashflow. Using Pragma Networks iNET SIP trunks lines can be delivered almost instantly, delivering value added services such as disaster recovery all at a lower cost.”

The business was founded as a joint venture between Pragma and Blizzard and seeks to provide a fully integrated network and hardware proposition. The ability to access support across both hardware and network at a distribution level is another innovative offer from the Pragma team and seeks to ensure the continued growth of the Ericsson-LG product in the UK market.

Mark Jones, Director, Pragma Networks commented “The team at Pragma have very rapidly built a fantastic business driving the growth of Ericsson-LG and we see great opportunity for supporting their resellers with SIP trunk and network offerings. Having known the Pragma management team for many years we are confident we can deliver a fantastic service to our resellers and help them take full advantage of this high growth technology.”

David George, Pragma, Executive Chairman commented, “This proposition is borne out of the consultative approach we take with all of our resellers. Working with our partners to develop the products, services and solutions they need is at the heart of our business. Over the coming weeks you will continue to hear further announcements on applications, new products and services such as iPCALL a new CTI application for the Ericsson-LG iPECS platform that will all create profit and growth opportunities for our customers.”
