Ofcom has published what it says are minor changes to its rules that all telecoms providers must follow in the UK.
In October 2020, the regulator confirmed a package of new customer protections that implement changes to European rules. At the same time, it consulted on some changes to its existing rules to ensure clarity and consistency in the terminology and definitions used within them.
Ofcom also consulted on some changes to reflect the end of the transition period under the EU Withdrawal Agreement.
On Thursday, it published its final decisions on these changes, as well as giving final notification of the changes it is making to its regulatory rules to implement the customer protections in the European Electronic Communications Code and revised consolidated versions of its rules.
