The 20-page ‘What’s It All About’ booklet aims to ensure resellers are primed to capitalise on new sales potential with high speed mobile connectivity set to revolutionise the way people work.
“It’s happening now,” emphasised Mark Curtis-Wood, Nimans’ Head of Network Services. “4G is going to be a game changer and it’s important resellers are ready to take advantage – increasingly in the months ahead.”
Nimans is an official O2 JUC wholesale partner and Curtis-Wood continued: “It’s about making technology work for resellers and their customers, as 4G opens up new ways to access services requiring more capacity such as video streaming and video calls. Future generations will view 4G as a watershed moment. It drives productivity and efficiency and inspires new ways of working.”
He explained. “O2 has announced services will be live in 13 cities and selected towns by the end of the year. They are aiming for their 2G, 3G and 4G network to reach 98% of the UK population both indoor and outdoor up to two years earlier than the 2017 regulatory requirement.”
O2’s 4G network is already live in Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, Sheffield, Manchester, London, Leeds and Bradford - with Newcastle, Edinburgh, Wetherby and Huddersfield due to be connected by the end of the year.
Curtis-Wood concluded: “We are working with resellers and their customers to bring the possibilities of 4G to life. It’s a very exciting time and the dawning of a new era. This guide is one tangible way how we are helping resellers identify the best way forward.”
