Attendees learned how the Samsung Communication Manager Compact platform is aimed at the 16-512 user extension market –part of Samsung’s vision to be the premier wireless communication platform provider.
One Oxford-based reseller who has been installing Samsung systems for over 20 years, was full of praise for the week-long course which he described as a vital stepping stone.
“It’s a brand spanking new system very different to the old ones. Everything is different so it’s like learning from the start which makes this course very worthwhile and beneficial,” he said. “This is the launch pad. I like the SCMC. It’s a good innovation especially the mobility, scalability and multi-location features. The future looks bright and Samsung will only build on this.”
Resellers discovered how the SCMC is easy to configure with up to 128 SIP Trunks available along with high levels of encrypted security as part of the pure IP system. Complementing its bigger Samsung Communication Manager Express (for up to 3,000 users) resellers can now address 95% of the market.
A Bolton-based engineer explained: “The course was very informative and interesting. It’s been a bit of an eye opener as SCMC is a big change. The system seems very good especially on the wireless side and ease of use when programming. I’ve got a lot more confidence now and can’t wait to get started.”
His positive comments were endorsed by John McKindland, Nimans’ Head of Solutions, System Sales, who says the distributor is playing a frontline role in reseller adoption.
“The SCMC platform has earned plenty of praise for low total cost of ownership, scalability, easy management, mobility and enhanced system resilience. It’s a welcome addition to our portfolio.” He added: “Particularly impressive is the ability to connect desk phones as well as mobiles wirelessly. It’s based on seamless integration as part of an end-to-end solution.”
