Both Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) and Private Mobile Radio (PMR) devices spearhead the new working relationship as Nimans makes its first foray into the licenced arena.
“We’ve sold two-way radios for many years but this is the first time we are able to offer resellers access to more powerful licenced equipment that can communicate over much longer distances,” says Gary Redshaw, Senior Buyer from Nimans’ Purchasing Department.
He added: “DMR is gaining lots of market traction and represents the next generation in two-way radio services. Some DMR devices can switch back to analogue too for maximum user flexibility and convenience.”
Founded in 1993 (in PMR) with a large customer base in more than 80 countries, Hytera's worldwide market share now ranks second in terms of volume of terminals sold. Hytera has established a global sales network with three subsidiaries in the USA, UK and Germany, including 600+ partners across the world, and allocates more than 15% of revenue for R&D to keep pushing the limit in wireless technology.
Hytera employs a highly trained R&D team of over 800 engineers in three research centres, which are now well established as a state-of-the-art platform for digital technology research, product design and application development.
Matt Napier, Sales Director at Hytera, said: “We are delighted to be working with Nimans. We feel that our products are the perfect fit for Nimans’ channel partners and we have ensured their team are fully trained and ready to support their customers from both a sales and technical perspective.
“Working with Nimans and its large customer base is a natural fit as the evolution of our business continues to reach an even wider target audience.”
