The new feature is designed to enable users to automate report generation outside of office hours, saving time and ensuring that reports are consistently generated according to a predefined schedule.
With the report scheduling service, users can schedule reports to be generated in CSV format and uploaded to an SFTP site at a time and frequency to suit their needs.
Zipped encryption is enforced on all output files, conforming to best practice for information security management, and minimising any potential risk of a data breach.
In addition, each time a report is generated and uploaded, it will overwrite any previous version with the same file name.
Samantha Dennahy, product owner, Union Street Technologies, said, “Through consultations with our partners, it became clear that many users find running reports to be a repetitive manual process. Depending on the complexity of the report, it can also have a big impact on system performance, reducing the productivity of billing personnel that might be working on other tasks.
“Our report scheduling service solves both of these challenges, and by enabling Affinity to automatically run reports out of hours, our partners can have the information they need ready and waiting for them at the start of their working day.”
