MS3 Networks has announced three C-suite appointments. Tony Jopling joins as chief operating officer, Simon Harvey as chief financial officer and Charl Tintinger as chief technology officer.
The new appointments aim to support the company’s expansion plans, with an objective to reach over 500,000 homes and businesses across the North of England with the company’s full fibre broadband network.
In his new role as COO, Jopling will take responsibility for managing and overseeing the daily operations at MS3 and its full fibre rollout. Jopling has over 20 years’ experience of the local telecoms market, having previously held positions at Pure Broadband and KCOM.
He commented, “Having worked in the local broadband industry for many years, I know how important it is to provide choice, quality, value for money and great customer service to residents and businesses within Hull and the surrounding areas.
“I'm excited to be working with MS3 Networks and its growing number of partners, to deliver this strategy to over 530,000 properties over the next few years.”
Harvey joins with over 28 years’ experience in finance, with experience across insurance, technology, professional services and telecoms. He will be responsible for directing MS3’s financial strategy and leading the larger finance team.
Harvey explained, “It’s an exciting time to be joining such a fast-paced, rapidly expanding business. Along with the great investment partners we have and the new management team, I am looking forward to helping MS3 Networks drive and deliver its strategic objectives.”
Tintinger previously held CTO positions at Airband Community Internet and Gigaclear, as well as a host of other operations-based roles within telecoms over the past 20 years. Tintinger added, “Having spent over two decades finding more effective ways of delivering broadband to consumers and businesses, being on the wholesale side will bring a whole new set of challenges and opportunities.
“With the rapid growth of MS3’s team and its ambitious network expansion, I’m looking forward to working on the technical challenges that will help these growth plans evolve.”
The company currently has a build rate of 1,000 premises a week, with recent expansions in Hull and the North Lincolnshire towns of Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Scunthorpe.
MS3 said its full fibre network offers ISPs an alternative choice, as well as helping to foster competition in areas with a limited choice of broadband providers.
