All 10 directors successfully completed the cycle around the hilly terrain of the Isle of Wight, despite up until a few weeks prior to the cycle ride, some of the directors didn't even have a bike! “It was a great effort and I want to thank all the directors for their commitment to this fundraising event” said Gerry O’Keeffe, Managing Director of Micro-P. “Of course we could not have raised this amount of money without the support and generosity of our key vendors, Acer, APC, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Plantronics, Samsung and Toshiba to name just a few and the staff at Micro-P who contributed a substantial amount of the total raised for this very worthwhile charity”
Tina Starbuck corporate fundraiser of Naomi house said ‘We are delighted to receive such a fantastic amount of money just before Christmas, particularly as this is such a special time for the children and families who come and stay at the hospice. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Gerry and all the Directors who took part in the challenge and to everyone at Micro-P for their continuing support’.
Micro-P has supported Naomi House since 2009 and to date they have raised in excess of £47,000. In addition to the cycle ride, Micro-P also sponsored this year’s ‘Naomi House Christmas bauble hunt’ for the second year running. Micro-P will continue to support the charity and the directors are already planning next year’s fundraising events, which is sure to be their biggest challenge yet!
