After moving into its new 3,865sq ft headquarters in Velvet Mill, Manningham, Bowling College tasked LDD with improving and updating its legacy telephony systems, the installation of a wireless network, a full server reconfiguration and securing its infrastructure against online and mail based threats.
LDD implemented a wireless solution which will ensure teaching staff and pupils have consistent, secure access to the network throughout the premises. LDD also upgraded the college’s IT infrastructure to ensure it will meet the college’s business requirement for the next three to five years and beyond. By transferring its fixed lines to LDD Group the college has also saved approximately 40 per cent per year on the cost of calls.
Bowling College has now signed a fully managed support contract with LDD coving their entire IT Infrastructure. As well as ensuring the college’s current Infrastructure is stable and fit for purpose, LDD has also put together an action plan highlighting areas within the college’s Infrastructure that may need to be looked at in the future.
Belinda Miller, Acting Principal at Bowling College: “The LDD team did a full IT health check for the college, identifying what was working and what needed to be improved. They then devised an action plan to stablise the issues and secure our IT infrastructure, delivering a system which will ensure the stability and security of our IT systems for years to come. ”
