The company is supporting Tracy Halligan, who is running a 35 mile six-hour ultra-marathon challenge on Christmas Day to raise funds in support of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool and Warrington Hospital.
Halligan will bring festive cheer to children in hospital and even direct to their homes, with her route mapped out to pass worthy children across her hometown of Warrington.
Her challenge will be completed in a specially made Santa outfit and people can track her activities online via Facebook, starting at around 6am.
“When we heard about Tracy’s amazing exploits we couldn’t wait to get involved,” said Jeff May, UK sales director at Konftel. “Tracy is an inspiration. On Christmas Day many of us will be opening presents, tucking into turkey and drinking mulled wine. But Tracy will be running through the streets of the town I reside.”
Halligan added, “Christmas is a magical time but it’s also a tough time for some people too. If I can make people smile then it will all be worthwhile. This year with everything that’s been going on in the world, it’s the perfect time to do it. I cannot thank Konftel enough for their very generous support.”
