The programme aims to reinvigorate HPE’s partnerships in Ireland and is centred on strategic investment to support partners in their continued growth and success with the HPE portfolio including HPE GreenLake.
This move is underpinned by the promotion of Heather Walls (pictured) to channel leader for Ireland, who takes up her new role today.
Walls explained, “For us at HPE, our channel partners are a core driver for the overall business, including our HPE GreenLake strategy. My top priorities will be to strengthen the relationship with our Irish partners, find out how we can better support them and help them reach new markets and unlock new revenue streams.
“With an over 90 per cent increase in HPE GreenLake sales through Ireland channel partners in just the last quarter, we are particularly excited to see that this strategy is working.”
Walls will assume full responsibility for Irish channel operations and sales. She joined as a graduate in 2012 and has worked as a storage specialist and partner business manager, so has extensive experience in the HPE channel business.
Ray McGann, managing director for Ireland, HPE, explained, “When I started as Ireland managing director, I made it my primary goal to cement HPE’s position as a trusted partner, helping Irish customers and partners to boost satisfaction and drive growth.
“As the Ireland channel manager, Heather will play a critical role in achieving this goal for our partners and I’m looking forward to welcoming her to our office in Leixlip.
“With her track record for success in helping partners leverage the entire HPE portfolio to support their customers to transform with market trends, as well as her expertise in developing early career talent she is a great asset for the entire team.”
In her new role, Walls will join the local Irish leadership team whilst continuing to report into the Lewis Simmonds, channel director for the UK and Ireland, ensuring a concise and strategic approach throughout both countries. In the coming months, she will support HPE Ireland’s investment in local talent to grow the channel team.
