Highlight has developed new AI-based capabilities for its SaaS cloud-based network observability platform. The new AI-powered anomaly detection feature enables network managers to take greater control of their IT infrastructure across multiple locations and diverse technologies.
Highlight is launching the new AI-based capabilities to public beta for customers who sign up, and it will be available to all Highlight users in summer 2025. The launch of this anomaly detection feature is the first in a string of AI developments being worked on by highlight labs, the organisation’s innovation team.
The new feature uses machine learning to detect unusual or anomalous step changes in network traffic and performance, distinct from regular growth and traffic fluctuations. These abrupt shifts can be difficult to spot amongst normal traffic spikes without constant monitoring and contextual knowledge. With AI-driven anomaly detection, such changes are quickly identified, helping organisations maintain network stability and identify potential security risks.
Martin Saunders, COO at Highlight, said, “Our upcoming new AI-based services are poised to ensure Highlight remains the tool of choice for the management of essential and high-value communications. By anticipating and identifying anomalous disruptions, providers and enterprise customers can ensure their networks never face IT issues unprepared. This being the first of multiple upcoming AI innovations by Highlight Labs keeps us at the forefront of the AI Ops sector.”
The Highlight Service Observability Platform provides a unified, first-pane-of-glass view of different technologies from different vendors. By standardising network data, Highlight enhances support efficiency, enables in-depth analysis of network estates, and improves coordination with service providers and external vendors.
