Giacom has announced the acquisition of intY, a UK Microsoft cloud services provider, from US-based ScanSource.

The acquisition includes intY's UK revenues, partners and business operations. It scales Giacom’s Microsoft cloud capabilities in the evolving cloud services market and strengthens its position as a Microsoft licensing provider to the SMB-focused UK Channel.

intY’s 1,500 partners will join Giacom’s ecosystem, with Giacom to focus on ensuring service continuity for these partners while also providing them with new opportunities. Partners will be able to access to a broad range of products and services including cloud, communications, hardware and billing solutions.

The acquisition aims to solidify Giacom's leadership in Microsoft licensing as well as presenting cross-sell opportunities. Moving forward, Giacom will leverage this expanded portfolio to create added value for partners, enabling growth and success in the SMB landscape.

Terry O’Brien, CEO at Giacom (pictured), said, “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of intY, a move that strengthens Giacom's market position and reinforces our commitment to delivering unbeatable solutions to our partners.

“The integration of intY's expertise and capabilities will strengthen our ability to support partners in this critical growth sector of the market, while further establishing Giacom as the go-to provider for Microsoft cloud services to the SMB-focused UK channel.”

Marcus Ollenbuttel, SVP, digital distribution, Europe, intY, added, “Giacom is a business that intY has long admired as a best-of-breed UK-focused peer that shares our commitment to working exclusively through the channel. We're excited to become part of the Giacom team.

“We look forward to a seamless integration process, and to the transformative impact this acquisition will have on our ability to not only support our partners but to add increasing value to them moving forwards.”
