Giacom raises £17k after completing Keswick Three Peaks

Giacom has successfully completed its flagship charity challenge, hiking the Keswick Three Peaks.

Sponsored by CityFibre for the third consecutive year, Giacom team members finished the 18-mile journey, ascending more than 1,000 metres across the Lake District National Park.

The challenging trek was undertaken in memory of Giacom’s co-workers, raising £17,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation and The British Red Cross. These funds will significantly impact the lives of those in need, continuing the legacy of the team’s colleagues.

Terry O’Brien, CEO of Giacom, said, "Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year’s Keswick Three Peaks challenge. Your dedication and effort are truly inspiring. A special thank you to CityFibre for their continued sponsorship and support. We couldn't have asked for better partners."

Andy Wilson, sales director, business at CityFibre, said, "This year was absolutely amazing. Each year has got progressively harder, but we really enjoyed it."

Matthew Dyke, Giacom account manager at CityFibre, said, "It's a unique event that means we get to meet different members of the Giacom team. It is a great way to get to know people on a different level. Away from the office, people let their guard down."

The challenge is key to Giacom's ESG strategy, focusing on community support and environmental awareness. It raises significant funds for charity and strengthens the bonds between colleagues, reinforcing Giacom's culture of teamwork and social responsibility. The event highlights the company’s commitment to giving back and provides an opportunity for its team to use their volunteer days for impactful causes.
